CHANGE IN LATITUDE.

Challenges

  • Tropical Smoothie Café wanted to evolve the brand from a very literal “tropical” interior to a more sophisticated beach vibe that was bright, relaxed and fun.  

  • Communicate that the brand offered more than just smoothies and snacks.

  • Develop menu items that complemented the smoothies without adding extra complexity for the Franchise Owner (no fryers or ovens).

The Result

  • Customer survey revealed that they would spend $8-$12 a visit with the new logo – up 50% in perceived spend.

  • Rather than competing with smoothie only places, Tropical Smoothie Cafe was now in the considered set with Panera, Chipotle, Zoeys, and Subway.
